Jeff Cavett is thrilled to join NewEdge Advisors, bringing with him over 25 years of artistic creativity and business experience.
A native of Beaumont, Texas, Jeff attended Kelly High School before moving to California to pursue his lifelong passion for music. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance with a concentration in guitar from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. After completing his studies, Jeff returned to Texas to perform with local bands and share his love of music through teaching.
He later founded Cavett Music Productions, where for 15 years he inspired students of all ages to discover and develop their musical talents on guitar, piano, bass, and vocals. By teaching music as a language and introducing students to a wide range of musical disciplines, Jeff honed his ability to connect with others and help them achieve their personal goals.
Driven by a desire to expand his professional horizons, Jeff earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Lamar University. For the past 12 years, he has worked at his father’s accounting firm, where he prepared financial statements, managed tax returns, and helped clients navigate complex financial matters with confidence and care.
Now, as a member of the NewEdge Advisors team, Jeff is excited to combine his business acumen and creative problem-solving skills to help clients achieve their financial goals. His unique background allows him to approach challenges with both analytical precision and imaginative insight—qualities that make him a trusted advisor and partner.
In his free time, Jeff enjoys playing music and relaxing with his wife, Carol. Together, they cherish time with their grandchildren and share a deep compassion for animals. Over the years, they have rescued and cared for many pets—each one adding joy, memories, and love to their growing family.
